Our freediving school in Marseille offers courses and training to learn and progress in the most beautiful sites of the Mediterranean, between the Calanques and the Côte Bleue. All levels, from beginner to instructor.
THE BLUE COAST
Just outside Marseille, the Côte Bleue offers exceptional terrain for freediving in the Mediterranean: wild calanques, marine reserves, arches and natural caves with crystal-clear waters.
Courses are mainly run from the shore, with some boat trips to the Calanques or other more remote sites. A unique setting, easily accessible from Aix-en-Provence TGV station and Marseille-Provence airport.

Mornings begin with stretching and breathing exercises, followed by a briefing on the day’s activities, before heading out to sea to explore the magnificent sites of the Côte Bleue, near Marseille.
Each session focuses on a specific theme to help you improve your freediving and underwater exploration skills.
Day 1: Getting Immersed
Practice the fundamentals of freediving exploration: relaxation, vertical alignment, body position, underwater orientation, gliding, and safety techniques.
Day 2: Freedom in Three Dimensions
Swim through arches, tunnels, and crevices of varying depths to develop your comfort in the water and your freedom of movement underwater.
Day 3: Building Confidence
Reinforce what you’ve learned in a natural setting and gradually increase your time underwater to fully enjoy the beauty of the sea.
In the afternoons, following a shared picnic, we focus on theory and dry-land exercises based on the AIDA 2 program and tailored to your questions and needs: buoyancy control, managing the urge to breathe, breathing techniques, and training.
To allow for rest and to help you master the skills, we go out on the water only once a day. However, the sessions are longer, with 2 to 3 hours spent in the water, so you can fully enjoy the experience.

In this freediving course focused on depth and independent trainingyou will have the option to confirm the AIDA 3 or AIDA 4 level, depending on your starting level.
This course opens the door to greater comfort and well-being underwater, with dives reaching depths of up to 40 meters in the stunning sites of the Côte Bleue near Marseille. An immersive experience designed to help you improve your freediving skills, get to know yourself better, and push your limits.
Mornings are devoted to sessions in the water, while afternoons are dedicated to theory. Exercises and tests, both in the water and on land, are conducted throughout the course to validate your AIDA certification.

Build on what you’ve learned, improve your fluidity while descending, and safely develop your confidence at depth.
In the afternoons, following a shared picnic, we focus on theory and dry-land exercises based on the AIDA curriculum and tailored to your specific questions and needs.
To ensure you get enough rest and have time to absorb what you’ve learned, we limit our time at sea to one outing per day. However, our sessions are longer, with 2 to 3 hours spent in the water, so you can make the most of your experience.

Freediving safety
Safety is at the heart offreediving at Team Oxygen. Our guides are sea rescuers and PSE2 first-aiders, and are fully equipped with oxygen therapy, VHF, first-aid kits and assistance buoys.
Outings are organized according to weather conditions and the level of participants, with the possibility of getting out of the water quickly during sessions starting from the shore. Our aim is to ensure that freediving around Marseille takes place in conditions of safety, comfort and confidence.
Your guides: sea lifeguard and PSE2 first-aider.
Equipment: oxygen therapy kit, VHF, up-to-date first-aid kit, inflatable boats, buoys, water scooter and technical equipment.
Regular training and updates on safety at sea. Vigilance regarding fatigue, cold and hydration of participants.
Quick exit from the water in case of problems or seasickness. Organization of outings according to weather constraints and people’s level.

BPJEPS freediving, AIDA Instructor Trainer and PSE2 first-aider, I’ve been coaching groups for over 20 years, notably through martial arts and nowfreediving.
I also have a yoga diploma and have been practicing Vipassana meditation for many years. I accompany freedivingaround Marseille in a spirit of progression, listening and self-knowledge.

BPJEPS freediving, PADI instructor and lifeguard at sea, I have solid experience in aquatic activities, teaching swimming and scuba diving.
Passionate about the sea, I share my experience of the marine environment to help you discoverfreediving and make the most of every outing.

THE ENVIRONMENT
During our outings, we take care to respect and preserve the marine environment. We regularly pick up garbage at sea, don’t take any organisms and explore the seabed with care.
We also favor more responsible practices: carpooling, departures from the coast and limiting the use of boats to reduce disturbance to marine wildlife.
In addition to our freediving activities, we also take part in various projects to clean up pollution and raise awareness of the need to protect the sea.
The association
In 2021, we created the Team Oxygen association, a collective ofeco-committed freedivers who explore the beauties of the sea while acting to protect the seabed.
Today, the association brings together 70 members for outings, explorations and actions to raise awareness of the need to preserve the marine environment.
Prerequisite: AIDA 2 certification or equivalent to join the association.
